I planted up a big container at work and tucked some strawberry plants into the sides. They’re popping out a few small but AMAZING strawberries- they made me realize I had forgotten what real strawberries taste like!
Baby birds are not my most favorite thing but they’re okay I guess. These guys are living in a tree out in the nursery at work.
Later in the evening, Patrick and I took a tour of Seattle’s underground. This is a photo of a still functional skylight from underneath the sidewalk.
After the Space Needle, I went to the EMP Museum (Experience Music Project). Well worth the cost of admission, especially on another drizzley day in Seattle. Also rode the monorail a couple of times..
Apple fritter at Top Pot Doughnuts, not exactly a breakfast of champions but with all of the walking I’ll be doing today I can afford to indulge.
Margarita cupcake Monday night. Pre-cupcake, we found this great place for dinner called the Honey Hole in the Capital Hill neighborhood- they have amazing vegetarian sandwiches!
Day one in Seattle- Pike Place Market. Saw the flying fish, original Starbucks, and lots of yummy food.
Amazing dinner last night with Laura. We grilled the following: halloumi cheese, corn, romaine and bread; and served it up with quinoa salad, tomatoes and chickpeas and tzatziki. Ended dinner with key lime cupcakes, it was the best!
